robert doane

DIRECTOR

Robert Doane joins the PGYSA board with a clear mission: to ensure that the character-building benefits of soccer are truly accessible to everyone. After years of watching his own children thrive in the league on the beautiful, unceded territory of the Lheidli T'enneh, he is eager to apply his professional background in Strategy and Equity & Inclusion to the governance of the club.

Robert believes that without intentional action, sports organizations can actively support systemic racism and privilege. He is committed to using his seat at the table to examine PGYSA’s structures and remove the barriers that historically exclude marginalized youth. Robert aims to help the club grow its programs for the next generation, while challenging the wider sports community to dismantle the status quo and embrace the diversity of Prince George.
